Bit too skinny, may have to take my rings off.

I need some 'really gentle on the tummy' ways to at least keep my weight on at the moment please. I realised I was getting a bit too skinny when my rings flew off today when I was waving my hand about. (took quite a time to find them)

Weight has been sliding off a little bit over the past month or so, I've not been very well. Last week I went onto meds that are really upsetting my tummy despite omeprazole. even a cup of decaf tea makes it sore. So I am having to force myself to eat small meals, but they clearly arent enough to keep my weight up.

If it carries on I'll go and see my gp, but is there anything really easy to digest in the mean time that tastes nice - like complan only not disgusting. I'm not sure if I can take supplements as everything seems to be contraindicated on this med.

Also, while you are at it cures for med induced insomnia/nightmares would be great please.

That is a really splendid idea bagel - thank you :) all the gp could suggest to keep going was to drink plenty and make sure I keep my eating up!

That is completely rubbish, especially as your feelings of faintness could be caused by any number of things. I really don't know what to suggest, it would have been nice if the stand in GP had contacted the consultant about the medication. I can understand him not wanting to change the dose without discussing it first, but doing nothing is not helpful at all. If you are still feeling terrible, you may need to take things into your own hands and call the consultant's secretary yourself.

Madsometimes you are right, he could have contacted the consultant. He is assuming its my low bp but it could also be cos my hr is rather low too. or it could be a number of things.
I think going through the consultants secretary is going to be right thing to do. I thought about it but too late to do anything today. Might be a way of getting me into clinic earlier.
