I'll apologise in advance for TMi but I haven't had a poo for 14 days

I have on going gynae problems that leave me hideously constipated after ovulation.

I have had IBS in the past and I am wary of using a laxative that is too strong.

I have tried all the things to eat and drink that usually help.

Any gentle suggestions?

We give the dd movicol daily wixed with squash to take the taste away. (known in our house as "juice medicine" we mix it with quite alot of water.

Good luck our house is never as happy as when there has been poo all round.

Oh dear God, what a night.

I had a small fresh fruit salad and immediately after started to get grumbling stomach pains. I think it was the pineapple.

I sat shivering and sweating but still unable to go.

At 10 o'clock I used my suppossitory and I can only presume I cleared a passage way when I put it in.

Between 10 past 10 and 1.30 I rushed to the loo every 10 minutes, then spend the rest of the night in agony with cramps.

On the bright side I'm not constipated anymore

LOL. Always a bright side. You might need too look after your bowels for a little while as once you've been constipated it can sort of mess up the function for a little while and you need to retrain it to work properly again.

I'm not quite there yet, but there has been some improvement, so I am feeling a lot less ill than I was. Thank goodness. Slightly worried about my sanity as at the time I was so relieved I wanted to tell everyone... I am sure my mum would have appreciated the "MUM I DID A POO" conversation, but I managed to keep it to myself.
