Reflexology and now feel rough.

I had reflexology on holiday and felt wonderful so I thought I would continue once home. Today I had it done at a Chinese herbalist shop and the therapist was digging away at the painful bits of the foot. Now a few hours later I find myself feeling bloody disorientated, knackered and weepy - is this me releasing toxins (if they exists) or just a side effect in general?

I've found you do feel a bit crap after a treatment, then feel much better after a day or two.

The therapist on holiday was a bit wimpy but that suited me just fine whereas the Chinese therapist, there was no messing around and she dug into my feet very hard especially the painful spots. I'm hoping that although I feel awful now, tomorrow I'll be doing back flips around the home.

this is quite common. They call it a healing crisis, where you start ot get worse b4 you get lots better. I used to do a lot of reflexology and this happens almost every time. It means the new therapist was rather good. I'd go back for more treatment.

As a reflexologist I always let clients know that they may feel like this after treatment , you should of also been advised to drink plenty of water. I also hope you were given feedback as to what these knots/ crystals in your feet corresponded too ? X

I'm still feeling groggy and fluey but not quite as bad. She commented that the bits of the foot which were painful are apparently the kidneys and stomach area which is amazing as I have had a dull ache in that spot weeks prior to visiting her. I had glandular fever a few years ago and have struggled with relapses on and off for years and my initial concern was that she reactivated something I'm sure. I am really scared with the ' got to feel worse before feeling better' route because when I'm bad, I'm BAD! (Skin looks better though lol).
