With DS (2.5). He fell off a chair in the kitchen and banged his head on the concrete floor. Then started bleeding from the nose. We were really worried as it was the back of his head that hit the floor.

They took a skull x-ray and did all sorts of poking up his nose and in his ears. he was so good and just sat there as if we did this sort of thing every day. No crying or fussing - so much so that the nurses were a bit worried he was drowsy! Just overwhelmed by the new environment, lights and general buzzing around, I think.

Anyway x-ray was fine and there were a few clots in his nose. Also a bruise began to apper on the bridge of his nose. It seems he may have hit his nose on the way down, causing the bleeding.

Glad to be home safe and sound, but knackered. Eary night, I think

Ooh not nice. My ds is nearly 6 months and I just know there will be days like this for us. Fills me with horror! Hope yours is OK.

Go and have a large drink and give ds a big cuddle when he wakes up tomorrow, not realising the heart stopping moments he has put ou through

dd has taken to falling down the step in her babywalker at work. there is only 1 step between the front room and kitchen (its in the hall linking them) and if she is in the front room i always keep an eye out on the hall but twice now she has gone head first down the step. the first time she cried hysterically and the second she laughed. i normally dont leave her in the front room but if the girls are there then she cries till she is with them

Have only visited once with DD2 when she had a horrid chest infection. DD1 never at all. DS is only 2 and this was his second visit (nearly knocked his front teeth out at a play ground in the summer). Is it boys???

Poor thing, sounds really scary. I hate bumps on the head, I never know what to do.

I must be a real mum too, I have spent hours in A&E with both of my kids.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 25/01/2006 22:35

OH poor thing

Glad he's been giving the all clear though. They like to keep us on our toes don't they!
