As in the title really.

I am quite hesitant to post this as it paints him in a bad light describing it!
He is a clean man! He washes every day. He doesn't smoke. However his side of the bed gradually stains to an orangey colour. He is white, doesn't wear fake tan. He doesn't have any strange soaps, just the usual radox. He shaves his head, but uses t-gel once a week because he has very mild scorasis on his scalp, but controlled well with the t-gel. He sweats very little, in fact its a bit of a joke between us that he doesn't sweat. He doesn't eat a lot of carrots! I can't explain it, but I'm having to replace bedding very often, as it doesn't come out in the wash. The pillows are the same. Now he has noticed while ironing his work shirt that one of them has a slight orange tinge! So that's in the bin too.

Now that I have successfully portrayed my husband to be the minger he really isn't, does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing it?

Sounds strange but does he eat a lot of curry??

whenskiesaregrey · 13/02/2012 23:23

No not really Dee. I make a curry maybe once a fortnight, maybe more infrequent than that. I can't think of it being anything in his diet as we don't really eat loads of one particular thing

It has been the case for years now. I would love to buy some fancy bedding, but don't want to spend the money for it to be ruined!

DP's pillow is similar but I suspect that's from the stuff he puts in his hair..
Your DH doesn't oil himself up does he? Like a body builder..?! Grin

Any vitamins, iron tablets etc?

AttilaTheMeerkat · 14/02/2012 08:12

Sometimes this can be caused by excessive eating of carrots and other fruits/veg but this does not seem to be the case here.

He needs to see his GP asap for further evaluation (go with him to this appt, I would show the GP the stained shirt as well if it can be retrieved from the bin) as he seemingly does not sweat very much if at all either.

whenskiesaregrey · 14/02/2012 11:17

He has the odd vitamin C if he feels a cold coming on, but not regularly. It's all very strange. I didn't know if it was a little bit trivial to go to the GP with, after all he's not ill with it?

Thank you for all your suggestions :)

That link is very interesting fanny I would never think of actually getting white sheets! Might get some cheap ones and give it a test run.

does he sweat?? i would see the GP.

whenskiesaregrey · 14/02/2012 11:53

He sweats very little. He never has any sweat patches, even after playing squash. But I think he has always been like that, I think its just the way he is. It surprises me because my dad would sweat very easily and I just assumed everyone was like that.

There is a condition called chromhidrosis (not serious but unusual) - he may have that?

PigletJohn · 15/02/2012 21:24

are his shorts orange/yellow especially round the collar? sometimes you notice it a while after they've been washed and put away?

PigletJohn · 15/02/2012 21:28

shirts not shorts Blush

whenskiesaregrey · 15/02/2012 22:00

Effing will google now to see if he has any symptoms...

Piglet no, no grubby collars and/or cuffs. They start to bubble a bit, but i think that's more down to over-washing than anything else.
