Waiting for a doctors appointment but any idea why I'm so tired and getting so many headaches?

Just had my eyes tested and the optictican couldn't see any reasons for headaches. I've had two doctors appointments cancelled (!) so am now waiting to see my doctor at the end of February.

I'm getting headaches all the time, at all times of day and month. I've even been woken up at night with a headache which has never happened before. They all seem to be focussed on the right side of my head although they're sometimes more at the front and sometimes at the back or side. It's not as bad a I imagine a migraine to be and does get better with paracetamol although it never seems to totally go away.

I am also really tired. It doesn't seem to matter how much I sleep I never seem to wake up refreshed.

Neither is debilitating but it's really affecting my quality of life.

Anyone experienced anything similar or know anything that would help until I can see the doc?

Pre diabetes

I had similar - felt like a pressure cooker. Saw a cranial oestopath- my sleeping position (tummy) was causing compression in my neck. Woke up next day after session refreshed and first headache free day in 3 months.

onadietcokebreak I can totally relate to the pressure cooker feeling. I'm going to try and find a cranial osteopath - even if it's something else it won't hurt to try. Thanks.

Do you get throbbing in your ears too?

Do see a doctor too. Waiting til end of feb is crazy - can't they see you earlier?

Thyroid trouble sound likely

I've had throbbing in my ears a couple of times but not very often. I've also felt a few times like I've got an ear infection coming on as the pain/discomfort seems to be concentrated there.

My surgery is rubbish and my doctor works part-time so I often have to wait for appointments. They cancelled my appointment last Wednesday and the 29th Feb was the next available one!

I'd rather see my own doctor as I've had rubbish experiences with locums whereas I like and trust my doc. It's frustrating because I know that I'll be sent for blood tests and then have another wait to see her for the results.

I had a constant headache for the whole of July and August and was sleeping 10hrs + but still waking exhausted, it turns out I have an underactive thyroid. The medication has definitely helped but I'm not at the right level yet
