This morning. It's somewhat of a relief to know what is actually wrong with him, as he has had various inexplicable symptoms that no doctor could pinpoint up to now. Went to a new GP with a UTI that doesn't want to go away, and the GP found his blood glucose levels to be very high. We generally eat a healthy diet, I guess it won't be too much of an adjustment. I'm just not sure how this came about, as he doesn't fall in any of the high risk groups. He is certainly not over weight, doesn't have any family history as far as we know, and as I said, we do eat healty with lots of fresh fruit and veg. He needs to go back tomorrow with some more tests. I'm worried as we are living in a country without free medical care and out health insurance plan only really covers hospital stays.

Do you know of its type one of type two? Type two can usually be controlled by diet, sometimes pills and rarely injections. Type one requires multiple injections.

It can be really hard to start with but it will soon become a way of life. It is good that you're already eating healthily.

With type one you don't need to fall into any high risk categories as it's a type of autoimmune disease.

Hopefully you will feel better once you have found out more about it Smile

At the moment the GP seems to think it is Type 2. But he needs to go for more tests tomorrow.
