HELP

Dp had a tooth out this morning as he had raging toothache.

Anyway, since the stuff has wore off he is now in agony again, and i'm not sure what to suggest to him.

nutty, ibuprofen is very good for toothache

swilling with salty water may help too.

but how can he still have toothache when the tooth has gone ??

his gums will be bruised. or something. think of all the pushing and pulling and shoving and yanking they do to get the tooth out. never mind the massive needle they prod into your gums. maybe he could phone the dentist?

I said it is probably bruising, but he seems to be in more pain time than before.

He is on phone to dentist now.

I findn the injection site often hurts more than the tooth/gap. Is he in real pain or "man" pain lol !!

LOL it's hard to tell, and I am so unsympathetic cos he should have gone ages ago.

He said it's pulsing and throbbing.

i had that after a tooth extraction, turned out I had something called dry root. Phoned NHS 24 out of hours who reccomended putting chewing gum on it, I laughed, ended up with antibiotics. Co-codamol, brufen and if you have it oil of cloves and if still sore tommorow, back to the drill!!!

They have told him to take some pain killers and go back tonight if it still hurts.

hope he feels better there really toothache is horrid! And you wont be getting much piece either.
Also remebered a dr recommending I get soluble co-codamol and swishing it round my mouth before swallowing, that really worked.

He is eating some soup now, so he can have some painkillers.

You are right about me not getting any peace, so I hope it gets better soon.
