Have had them for a few years, but theyve got worse despite changes in diet, lifestyle etc.

Before Xmas I had an attack of severe pain and vomiting, went to A&E and was discharged same day and told to see my GP. She referred me for a scan in Jan, which showed that my gallbladder is packed with stones and is no longer functioning. I have been referred to the hosputal to assess whether I need to have it out, which I am desperate to get done now as it is reslly affecting my quality of life.

The appointment isnt until early March, and surgery is unlikely tO happen before June. In the meantime, I am in constant pain which the prescribe painkillers dont youch. I am also nauseous and vomit often, and I have no energy. It is actually ruining my life :-(

Woulf it be stupid/wring to ho up to A&E and beg them to take it out asap? I am sitting ag wirk at the moment feeling lke I have been punched in the side and retching and retching. I honestly dont know how I can go on until June like this.

My symptoms that made mine an emergency removal were much like yours, and I went to my GP and was blue-lighted to hospital as mine perforated.

I don't think in your situation that A&E would be unreasonable. If the painkillers they've given you aren't working (I'm guessing something like Tramadol or Severadol) then the pain is stupid and you need to be reassessed.
