For what it's worth my DD was sometimes hyper from low haemoglobin (although she crashed out quickly afterwards). They said it wasn't common but some kids do present that way. It sucks, but keep pushing until you get there, you know she's not right and if she's so tired and pale and losing weight, whilst it's probably just a stubborn virus, there's a slight possibility for it to be something more serious, and apart from anything else it's not fair on her or you to let it drag on. I understand she's not telling you much for fear of a blood test, poor thing; does she have any visible issues though? Maybe some other symptoms of haematological issues - bruising, nosebleeds, red spots round her eyes, swollen lymph nodes at all?

thanks FarloRigel our pead as rang she as to go for blood test first thing in morning before school! she as some lymph nodes swollen but only 2 i think, not spots round her eyes only red rings cos she pale and tired, and as for bruisers only on her legs which i think all kids get. some days i think she picking up next day she down:(

That's good. I'm really relieved they're taking it seriously and pushing ahead with a basic blood test for starters, at least you'll know then if she's anaemic or not. I hope you get some answers tomorrow, this sounds so miserable for her Sad. I'll be thinking of you both tomorrow and hoping it's a step towards making her better x
