nope we all can wish, feel fr you as I am contantly getting nits out some kids are more prone to nits tho, and I think DD1 is one of them, either that or someone in her class is crawling with them

Tea tree shampoo, do you know not to use the same product twice? you need to change the pesticide each time because they become resistant. two or three on rotation can work well just remember which one you used last! hope it helps

Yes, agree with tea tree oil. I put a few drops in a spray bottle with water, and spray the roots every morning.

The other thing you can use is 1 tablespoon of viega to a pint of water, and sponge onto the scalp after hair washing (do not rinse out the vinega water) the hair will not smell of vinega when dry and the lice hate vinega therefore will not feed of the scalp, It helps make hair shiny too, you obviously just need to be careful of getting it in their eyes.

some of the nataral products do reppelant sprays to use, if you know theres a few cases arpound school etc ; Nitty gritty & Delacet (can be watered down to spray a fine mist. Both been recomended to me by MN.

thanks for the tips ladies! I didn't know you had to rotate the stuff every time, i always tend to use the same one. I will definately try the tea tree shampoo and the vinegar. It just get so frustrating especially as dd gets really upset about it. she has really lovely long thick hair so its hard work getting them out, i keep thinking i should get it cut shorter but it seems unfair cos she loves her hair long. and off course the lotions are costing me a small fortune!!!!!

I agree with tea tree shampoo and watering vinegar down into a spray. Also when treating ( Full Marks lotion I found is best)try and make sure you have combed everything out. Then exactly a week after treat again and do the combing every few days. Remember no lotion or pesticides kills eggs, thats why you need to treat again or the eggs keep hatching.
