Aaaagh, I am beyond embarrassed. Can you imagine it, what must he have thought. Thank god there was carpet otherwise I'm sure there would have been a dripping on floor sound echoing around the empty room.

I had DD2 11 months ago and in the last month I've suddenly needed to wee the whole time. About 1/2 hour after going to the loo I need the loo again, I've been trying to hold out for 2 hours between trips but it involves lots of jigging around.

Anyone got any ideas whether that's it, I'm shot where my pelvic floor is concerned. I don't understand why it's suddenly happened. Litteraly every day for the past month it has got worse and worse.

Anyone got some words of comfort/ advice/ reality check.

I currently do pelvic floors when I need the loos - which is pretty much the whole time!

Can you visit your GPs surgery for a dip stick test to rule out a UTI?

BackforGood · 26/01/2012 17:28

You should visit your GP - there's all sorts of things they can do.
oh, and keep drinking planty of water. Possibly pop a pad on until sorted ?

I agree about going to your GP. It could be something like an easily treated infection.

pilates · 26/01/2012 17:33

Yes def a trip to your GP to check for infection.

I was wondering about UTI, but wondered if it was more wishfull thinking and this is my penance for not doing my pelvic floors religously?

No, even if it is, there will be treatment somewhere for you. First stop though GP.

gingeroots · 26/01/2012 17:56

sometimes pelvic floor exercises just don't cut it ,depends on damage to your muscles etc .
definitely get help

SpanishFly · 26/01/2012 19:54

sounds like a UTI to me - seems too sudden for it to be pelvic floor problems. Anyone I know with them said they came on gradually, over weeks and weeks

totallypearshaped · 26/01/2012 22:29

After your GP book an appointment with a dedicated pelvic floor physiotherapist.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/01/2012 22:33

If you overdo the pelvic floor exercises you can tire out the muscle and make things worse

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/01/2012 22:35

Temporarily worse, I mean

ameliagrey · 27/01/2012 15:45

It could be urge incontinence/over active bladder and there are drugs for that. Go see GP for a referral maybe to see what's going on?

So I finally went to see a woman in Ringwood who started out with the NHS for pelvic stuff but then went private as she believed it is about the whole body and not just the pelvic floor muscles. She diagnosed tension in my stomach which was putting pressure on my perfectly adequate pelvic muscles causing them to get tired. I am to massage my abdomen (Maya massage) and to not do any pelvic floor exercises or stomach exercises) and hopefully I will release the tension in my tummy. Fingers crossed I get some relief.
