Whe i was pg with both dd's i had cervix errosion, every time i went to the loo and strained i would bleed. Now its been 6 year sinse i was pg with dd2 and i have still been getting bleeding/spotting a week before my period again when i strain. Have been to the gp a few times and nothing done about it. Now (this month) i am bleeding every day (spotting) sinse my last period, i'm not sure if its ceervix errosion or something else? but its driving me nuts. I'm pretty sure i'm not pg as i had a normal period just over a week ago. Does this sound like the errosion getting worse?

Has your GP done an internal examination to check the cervix? When was your last smear test?

I had irregular bleeding and the GP thought it may be an erosion - she could see 'something' when she examined me- but sent me for a colposcopy anyway. I think they only tend to treat erosions if they are causing a problem, such as ongoing irregular bleeding that bothers you.

I had a variety of issues arising from my GP appointment so was glad she referred me! The erosion was treated and does seem to have stopped bleeding (fingers crossed!).

The nurse that did my smear had a look last year and too extra swabs, she said i had a little errosion and that i was bleeding from the smear (which i did last time too), GP keeps fobbing me off and telling me to come back if it doesn't get better, keeps saying he will reffer to gynee but doesn't. I'm not too bothered if it is errosion, just worried that it might be something else so need to know IYKWIM.

I had similar - referred to a gynae, and had a cevical polyp, which was removed immediately. The problem stopped at once.

Apprently cerezette type contraceptive pills can cause erosion and other issues. DEMAND a gynae appointment!

Good luck.

Thank you, i was on the pill for 6 or 7 years until after i had dd2, gp wants me to go back on it to control heavy periods but i said 'no', he then sugested the coil which i said 'i would think about', could a polyp cause heavy painfull periods?

Will go back to my gp and aske for a referal.
