Sometimes you can get spotting and some irregular bleeding for the first 12 months of being on Depo, which should subside once your cycle gets used to the change in hormone.

As long as you've got no other symptoms ie lower abdominal pain, smelly discharge, pain after sex etc I would put it down to your body getting used to the Depo. Obviously if you are still worried or have got any other symptoms I would have a word with your practice nurse/GP or go to your GUM clinic for them to make sure everything's healthy down there Smile

Thanks. and to be honest it was a bit smelly Blush but i have been with same partner for 5 year so i know its nothing serious. When i had my son i had a cyst so i dont know if maybe its back. Its still coming away from me when i wipe just lightly! So sorry really embarressed but so worried i thought i could have been pregnant

Pregnancy unlikely as long as you used protection for the first 14 days of your first injection and had the second injection on time ie 12 weeks after the first!

If you've got a smelly discharge it's not necessarily something sexually transmitted, bacterial vaginosis for example can produce a strong fishy odour, grey/white discharge, and easily treated with antibiotics. Probably best to be checked out anyway if you've a history of a cyst, better off nipping it in the bud if it has returned I would say!
