Sorry, another dental thread...

I went to the dentists today for the first time in too long. Managed to get in at an NHS one (she does private work aswell). I'm booked in in a month's time to have a root canal and 3 fillings on wisdom teeth, and in total it'll cost £49. This seems like an awful lot to have done in one sitting (? To me, I don't know?) and very cheap. Any reason to be concerned (apart from the fact I've let it get this bad - new year resolution to look after teeth better and go to the dentist regularly)? It's an hour appointment.

Thanks for any replies.

It sounds like they want to get stuck in and get you treated.

I was THE biggest dental phobic till May last year. I went for an assessment with a hand holding friend who had conquered her phobia.

My first lot of treatment was removal of 4 roots and 2 fillings.

Was that all in the same sitting? How long did it take? x

My DD had 3 fillings (small ones) in 1 sitting (She's 9) I thought it was too much but the dentist said it's better to get them all done at once then once it's done it's done.

I had 2 roots canals done in 1 sitting and glad I did, If I would have had only 1 done I don't think I'd have gone back for the second one.

Depends how big the fillings are.
