operation to improve fertility - AM TERRIFIED!

I have suffered multiple miscarriages over the past 2 years and am now booked in for an operation next Friday (20th Jan). I have had bad experiences in the past with internal procedures (very incompetent Dr) which caused me many problems afterwards.
I am ABSOLUTELY petrified about next week. I am having a laparoscopy, a hysteroscopy, a cervical dye test, my fibroids removed, scar tissue lasered and my fallopian tubes stretched. The things that terrify me is whether the catheter they insert for the operation will be put in before my sedation, and whether they perform the cervical injection for the dye test before my sedation. After my previous traumatic experiences I don't think I could handle being messed about with like this before sedation. I asked the nurse these questions at my pre-assessment, but she didn't know many details about what I was having done and said she didn't have any information sheets on the procedure so was unsure. Has anyone had this procedure and can let me know exactly what to expect? And do they leave the catheter in after you have come round from the anaesthetic? Plus, how bad is the pain after surgery, I am worried because my Mum is disabled and I do a lot for her but don't know how long I will be 'out of action'.
Thank you to anyone who replies

I had a dye test but it was a long time ago. They didn't insert a catheter before putting me asleep and it was gone when I woke up after the anesthetic. When I came round I remember I was wearing a sanitary towel that was stained with blue dye. Afterwards I had bad stomach ache that eased with time and pain killers. Think I rested for that day and the day after. A couple of years ago I had hysteroscopy, fibroid removal, endometrial ablation and I was given a sick note for a week which I needed to get back to normal. Sorry I can't remember a lot of the details of the dye test but it wasn't traumatic. Hope this helps and good luck.
