Dp with stomach problems - what could it be?

For a couple of months now dp has had bouts of being sick and diarrhoea on a reasonably regular basis. It seems to be worse in the morning and sometimes, he throws up first thing and then it settles down for the rest of the day. Yesterday, he spent all day on the sofa feeling unwell and drifting off which is very unlike him.

If I think about it, he has lost a fair bit of weight recently and sometimes does not look well. Last week, he was having night sweats too. He complains of feeling bubbles in his stomach and round the back before he has the runs.

He does not like his job at the moment and I am wondering whether some of this may be anxiety, especially as it seems to happen before work. However, he says that he knows the difference between stress and just feeling unwell so things aren't very clear.

I am beginning to get quite worred and have been urging him to go to the doctors for a month now but he won't go. Last night he conceded that he ought to bo so hopefully will do this week. Offered to make the appointment but he said he will do it!

Any thoughts anyone? Thanks.

I don't think that's stress. Apparently night sweats are a sign that something is wrong, so I think GP this week without fail!

thanks BurningBridges. What do you think it could be then? It does only seem to happen when he is very worried about work, on Sunday nights and before going to work. Will get him to go to docs soon if I can. Can't very well drag him there though!

There's another thread on the go here at the moment a lady aged 27 who gets night sweats and everyone has said the same thing - go to doctors. if you google night sweats you get all sorts of scary things. But if its only when he's worried, maybe nothing scary. Hmm - still think GP though.
