Any sufferers here? I have a question for you. When suffering an attack does the pain and discolouration go once you have warmed your hands and return when they get cold again or does it continue over days/weeks taking time to improve as you take better care or the weather warms up?

Thanks

Hmm well I think I am a sufferer, my fingers & toes certainly turn totally white and sort of numb when its even a little bit cold, I have to get in the bath sometimes to turn pink again! But I don't get any other symptoms eg pain so maybe I am not a typical sufferer? I go totally back to normal until I get cold again. I have never been to the docs about it though so maybe its something else?

I am normally ok once warm. The only time I had problems was as a child I warmed my feet too quick and was told I got chill blanes, not nice.

thanks. The doc suspects my daughter might be suffering from RS as her hands and feet are always cold and her hands are bluish and painful. However the discolouration is mostly at the base of her hands and warming them doesn't alleviate the pain much.

I have this and warming my hands when they have got too cold can be excruciating. I need to go very slowly, starting off with running them under cold water and then gradually warming it up. Keeping them moving helps too. Once they are warm and the circulation has returned, they are fine. And I don't have any problems in warmer weather.
