Ha ha ha ha ha ha

[[http://www.courthousenews.com/2012/01/04/BritMedJ.pdf Here's the writ]. Makes interesting reading. I doubt it will receive much airtime here but might make people think twice before just going ahead and making up stuff about him? (Honestly, if you're going to discredit him do it on what he actually said and did, don't just make it up and assume you can get away with it, or that everyone is too stupid to go back to the original and check what was said/done).

He will do exactly what he did last time he sued Brian Deer, start precedings then put everything on hold so that he could use the fact he was suing to try and silence anyone who said anything against him. He did the same with the press council
He was severly censured by the judge for his behaviour last time, can't see anything being different this time. I very much doubt he has a leg to stand on

silverfrog · 05/01/2012 16:51

oh, interesting. thanks jimjams.

have read half the writ (am being pestered to cook tea), and it is indeed interesting reading.

hey ho. sadly I don't think it will stop the make-it-up-as-you-go-along brigade, and agree won't receive much airtime (here or on mainstream news). but interesting nonetheless.

I'll be watching with interest. :)

CatherinaJTV · 06/01/2012 14:02

he is not going to get anyone with this, which is why he is suing in Texas not the UK. For a moment there, he satisfies the folks who believe in him anyways and maybe reassures those who had been wondering why he did not sue BMJ/Deer (again)/Godlee, after all, the 1 year since the BMJ series is almost over - and then the suit is going to be dropped (due to the WWPC - world wide pharma conspiracy, of course) and he'll need to find something else to stay in the media interest.

Leonie, you addressed me directly, you posted in an open forum, the "outrage" really is not very credible.

Autismum · 10/01/2012 23:01

He's taken so long cos he didn't have the funds. He's been using his cronies at Age of Autism to raise cash for this scheme. It stinks. It's just a huge publicity stunt to keep his name in media and ratchet up his credibilty (which was seriously waining in the States too). The case will probably be thrown out but he will still have his name in the papers once more.

interesting thread, jimjams, will watch out for developments. But in the meantime, it's great to bump into you again, has been ages since I've seen you around here. Hope everything's going very well for you and yours.

I suspect he has other things on his mind now, his wife has been in a serious car crash. Sad

wow, jj, that is amazing!

I've never forgotten a very moving post of yours about realising he understood far more than you'd known - don't want to go into detail in case it's upsetting but blimey, it was quite something.

saintlyjimjams · 11/01/2012 23:51

Oh, yes I can guess. Yes we had inkings back then that there was more going on than met the eye. Then he started using google maps and we realised that there was a heck of a lot going on, and now finally he's actually beginning to communicate in a way us stupid people can understand. Very helpful tonight as he was yelling the place down. I had no idea why, but a quick 'what on earth is the matter?' revealed that granny was taking rather a long time to arrive at the house with her sweeties. Grin (And actually some reassurance from me that yes she was coming, yes she was bringing sweets, she was just a bit late, and peace was restored.....)
