anyone affected by a cleft, condition or syndrome involving maxillofacial surgery

I've been writing to just about anyone who will listen, MP's and the like, to campaign for free dental care for those affected by a lifelong condition or syndrome which means ongoing dentristry of the very expensive variety - implants, crowns and bridges - because at the bottom line that is exactly the result. Lifelong (huge) dentistry bills. If you have a condition or syndrome which affects any other part of your body, you're covered by the NHS. If it is a maxillofacial issue, you have to face big bills for dentistry - even in the NHS. £204 a go, at present.
If anyone is willing to lend support, even if it's something you'd never considered, I'm wondering if an online petition would do any good, perhaps in conjunction with CLAPA or any of the other charities / organisations who support those suffering from the conditions included here. If MN were willing to help out that would be even better....Grin

I would think this was a fab idea. Smile

My Mum and one of her brother's were both born with a cleft lip, and she has awful teeth too. It's unfair that she has to pay out all the time, for something that is not her fault

I would definitely sign an online petition
