hi manitz

it might be a prolapse. if you search on "prolapse" in mn talk you will find a number of discussions on the issue.

if it is a prolapse, there are various recognised stages or degrees, e.g. stage 1 = not too bad, probably asymptomatic, pelvic floor exercises and taking care with lifting recommended.

i recommend you go to your gp who will then refer you on. the first step would probably be to a women's health physio, who will assess you. it could be that if indeed you have a prolapse, if it is considered a relatively mild case, exercise is all you will need. there are surgical options for more serious cases.

anyway, go to your gp, unexpected bleeding should be checked out in any event.

you will feel much better taking control of the situation.

hth and good luck.

thanks, i've just been searching and am pretty sure that it is one, just hope it means I can have more children. bum. i didn't know how serious they were, thought i might have to be rushed in to hospital.

search has been sort of reassuring looks like no immediate action needs to be taken and I can probably wait until monday.

o dear.

sweetie, try to not to worry. that is so easy to say isn't it? you know it is very common in women who have had 2+ children. good luck and chin up.

Hey you Good name, by the way...

Don't know if you've seen this in your search but it looks quite useful. Lots of info.

Try not to fret too much and go see your GP on Monday - unless the bleeding gets worse, of course. Sorry I couldn't be more help earlier xx

thank you bossykate and snafu. looking at s's link i'm guessing it's a grade 1 or mild (forgotten what they call it now doh) but my cervix is a bit further down than it ought to be i think. will be checkign with health pros tomorrow and asking them to have a look for me, more for the bleeding than anything else.

madly exercising as we speak. bit of a hypochondriac as at least one of you knows already.

thanks again.

Manitz, I know this is a very late addition but I have just joined and have some experience similar to yours so thought I would comment anyway. When you went to health pros did you get them to check out to possibility of the haematoma recurring, and causing the bleed? If not it is worth doing so because this can happen. Worth asking....
