Spasm - anything to worry about?

Whilst having her bottle yesterday lunchtime my dd had a spasm in her left arm which was rather odd. It appeared to be involuntary as she couldn't grip my hand or feel for the bottle like she normally does for about 1 minute. After this her grip etc returned to normal. Has anyone any experience of this sort of thing?

How old is she?

She's 19 weeks tomorrow.

I don't know, sorry. I thought that if she was newborn or still tiny (IYSWIM! ) then it wouldn't be something to be concerned about, as the neural connections have not all been made yet at that stage, and it's not unusual to get these sort of spasms. I strongly suspect that that is still the case at your dd's age, and would suggest that if it's a one-off not to worry, but if it keeps happening then to speak to your HV or GP. I know that this sort of thing happened to my ds and dd from time to time, but I can't remember at what age.
