Anyone got DC born in 1998? Your help needed please!

DD - born late 1998, has homework due in on Friday for Science - topic is vaccinations.

She needs to know what vaccinations she has had and at what ages she had them.

Only problem is, I've turned house upside down and can't find her red book with them in, anywhere! Xmas Blush

I've tried a Google search but from what I can understand, the vaccination schedule may have changed since she was small and I'm not sure that she will have had all the ones I can find.

I know she had all that she was supposed to - that's all the clues I can give I'm afraid!

She has recently had first two HPVs.

Can anyone please shed any light?

dd1 was born in may 1998, according to her red book the planned ages are...

at 2 months - polio, hib, diptheria, tetanus, whooping cough

at 3 months - polio, hib, diptheria, tetanus, whooping cough

at 4 months - polio, hib, diptheria, tetanus, whooping cough

at 12 - 15months - measles, mumps, rubella

at 3 - 5 years - measles, mumps, rubella, diptheria, tetanus, polio

at 1 - 13 years - tuberculosis (BCG) (but she hasn't been offered this, so not sure if it's been phased out)

also she has meningitis C in June 2000 and I'm sure she had swine flu jab one year, but maybe that was one of her siblings?!

bumpybecky · 13/12/2011 20:56

looking at the dates though, I think she had the two month ones at 8 weeks rather than 2 calendar months, the three months were at 12 weeks and four months were at 19 weeks.

Also I refused to let her have all the jabs for preschool boosters at once and said we'd do the diptheria, tetanus, polio and then come back for the MMR and I've just realised the date isn't in the book! Shock dd1 is now pleading with me not to have it!

crazycrackernanna · 13/12/2011 20:57

Blimey I can't remember Shock
Erm.....

mmr
whooping cough and polio
hib and men c...I think Confused

FridgeRaider · 13/12/2011 20:58

Grin at DD pleading with you, sounds like mine when HPV was first mentioned!

Thanks so much, what a great help you've been! That all sounds about right to me and I was really struggling with the Men C as I knew she had it but couldn't remember when!

Thanks again you star Xmas Smile

Not to worry crazycrackernanna my question has been answered, but thanks anyway (you sound like me, lol)

well I'm glad I bothered to look it up to reply. Am horrified at myself for not getting the 2nd mmr for dd1! the other 3 dc have all had it, just not her. She is so unimpressed, but if she were to catch rubella when pregnant cos I'd not got her immunised I'd never have forgiven myself [drama queen!]

FridgeRaider · 13/12/2011 21:20

Haha! Bribery might work well in this sort of situation... not that I'm into bribing children of course.... I paid my DD 50p to eat a sprout at teatime

Glad I saw this thread - DS born in 1998 but not in the UK, sounds like he got the same things as they had over here. But I have a feeling DD's MMR booster may have got overlooked in a rather bad year.

Does anyone know if 1998-born boys are due any more jabs any time soon? I know girls get the cervical cancer vaccination some time around now, but haven't heard if DS needs any boosters in his teens.

Sidge · 13/12/2011 21:54

exexpat he would be due his school leavers booster of diphtheria, tetanus and polio when he is about 13-14 (10 years after his preschool booster basically).

And if he did miss a Meningtis C vaccine that should be offered too, up to the age of 24, as well as any missed vaccines eg 2nd MMR.

exexpat · 13/12/2011 21:58

Thanks Sidge. I think I'd better try and dig out Japanese equivalent of red book to see what he had and when.

Northernlurker · 13/12/2011 22:40

My dd1 is a 98 baby. From what I remember Becky's schedule is exactly what she had too. I think we had the Meningitis C in early 2001 when we took dd2 for her baby jabs as I had it too - I was 24 that year.

FridgeRaider · 14/12/2011 00:20

Northern homework complete now, but thanks for the confirmation of Becky's schedule. I really must keep the piece of paper I've written it down on somewhere safe...as in, somewhere less 'safe' than the place I put our red book, because wherever THAT is, is too 'safe' to be found!! Grin

exexpat I don't know about boys' vaccinations, although my DD did mention earlier that she has heard at school recently that the boys will be having a jab in their thighs sometime soon! No idea what for, sorry.

CatherinaJTV · 14/12/2011 09:18

thighs?! At this age, it should be arm, really.

FridgeRaider · 14/12/2011 16:50

Catherina Yes I thought that was a bit Hmm too! No doubt she has got it wrong.
