Ok what the hell is this bloody thing!

I gave birth 3.5 years ago minor tear.

I have for the last 6 month had tearing when I poo (which is bloody painful) and some no specific bleeding as well (assuming that was from the tear)

About 2 months ago I noitced a large lump which protudes from my vigina and is situated against the back wall. If I am laying down is goes, when pooing it gets bigger.

I am guessing it is about 2 inches and I now have a discharge constitenly.

NOT IN THE UK so no GP and no ability to get the gyne untill mid jan. Starting to worry a bitXmas Confused

no idea but you definitely need to see a professional - is there no chance of seeing a gynae or doctor for a month?

Ponders · 04/12/2011 11:13

it's not piles?

Luminescence · 04/12/2011 11:14

Prolapse? Go see your Gp.

Ponders · 04/12/2011 11:16

oh sorry, I missed the location of the lump Blush

it does sound like a prolapse

FestiveFriedaWassailsAgain · 04/12/2011 11:17

I wonder if it is some sort of prolapse or rectocele? graphic link here

If no gynae at present I would get it checked by your family doctor in the mean time

BendyBob · 04/12/2011 11:18

You must see a doctor asap of course but from what you say I am thinking possibly a prolapse of the uterus which is fixable with an op.

Is there no chance of getting seen sooner, just to stop you worrying.

FanjoForTheReindeerJumper · 04/12/2011 11:27

sounds like a rectocele

l4k · 04/12/2011 15:42

I bet it's a rectocele which is horrid for you. I had one for about 8 years , it was joined about 4 years ago by a cystocele and womb prolapse and I've just had a vaginal hysterectomy and prolapse repairs op 12 days ago.
It's not an emergency , give yourself chance to gat your head round it and see the gyne in January . If its causing you problems they can fix it. Most important thing is don't let yourself be constipated because it will make the rectocele worse and it sounds like you have anal fissures too.
Come and have a look on down below stitch ups thread when you feel ready. Sorry you find yourself in our club. I think getting used to the idea of having a prolapse was very hard in the beginning but you're not alone. X

Sounds like a rectocele. Don't panic, they are very common and mostly annoying than dangerous. Minor ones don't need treatment but if they impact your life you can have a repair operation. You can try kegels etc but that depends on how bad things are, if it's mild they may help, maybe worth a try anyway? Must get it checked when you can though to be sure.

Thanks guys

From the Website FFWA posted it is Definately a rectocele! Great still better than anything else. Lots like it may have been there since I gave birth (brilliant) along with the f piles I got 3 days after!

All good, it´s not really a bother, just feels a bit odd when walking about (spend all day on my feet, walk more than nurses etc) Still will go and see the gyne. Problem is we are not on private medical insurance and have no access to the local NHS equvilent yet (need to pay into the system for 3 year before getting none emergency access) my DD has access as she was born here (thank god) So if it is an op job it will have to wait!

Thanks girls Xmas Smile

Oh and I am never consitpated that is what is do weird!
