So, im 41.
My cycle symptoms have changed in the last 6 months and i wonder if i may be appraoching the menopause.

All of these are symptoms in the week leading up to af.
My breast are very sore a few days prior to af arriving, sharp shooting pains.
I am nauseous and off foods.
I am very tired for a day or two, i mean exhausted.
Abdominal rumblings, discomfort and pain.
Irritability.
Terrible hot flushes and i sweat like a bugger, even the 48 hour deoderants and antiperserants can cope with my erm sweatyness!
Cycle sometimes 28 days on the dot, other times, 30-35 days long.

What do you think?

Go to the Dr.
With that said have you tried black kohash (not sure on the spelling) or soy at those times? There is also a cream out from the company "NOW" that is lovely, progesterone that smells like lilacs, and it comes out in a measured dose so you are sure to not get too much.
Ideally think you should convo the Dr. first
Good luck,

Sounds like you're in the Perimenopause, and here's the good bit...it can last up to 10 years before the real shit kicks in Sad

I am sick of my peri...the incredible hulk moments, bleeding like a slaughtered pig (am being investigated for fibroids),forgetting why I am in a room sometimes, increased facial hair...the list is freaking endless!

There are some Peri threads around where we share and try and make fun of ourselves...what else to do?
Keep a diary of your periods, eat well, rest well, and be kind to yourself. You are in your 3rd stage of Godess (whatever the jeff that means)

go to the menopause forum here Wink and join in the fun.

seriously, it sounds like the peri meno- not a case for the dr unless your periods stop before you are 45 when it'd be considered an early meno and you'd need HRT for a few years, to ward off osteoporosis in your 50s, 60s and 70s.
