Broken wrist advice - any tips on how to cope?

So I broke my wrist in a spectacular kitchen pratfall on Saturday morning and am in plaster. My twins are two and a half and not potty trained, which doesn't help. My DH is out at work 8am to 5.30pm. So... if anyone had an arm in plaster recently, can you give me any tips on washing self and children, washing-up (no dishwasher), nappy changing, dressing children, coping without a buggy (I can't push it). Sorry for the longish list. I am getting really fed up - after only two days everything is a bit grubby (fridge shelves, washed-up dishes) and I think I'm starting to smell - how do you wash both armpits successfully with one hand?
It's minor and I know only temporary, but any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and do you think a couple of weeks of (mostly) watching telly and lots of (though not exclusively) cheese on toast will hurt the children? Seriously, it took me 15 minutes to peel one big potato just now...

For a start, you need a Limbo. Then you can have a shower.

To wash your armpits, you either use a bar of soap, or use a sponge. Pump shower gels/shampoo etc is easiest to manage.

Dressing children gets easier with practice, but avoid buttons - leggings and a jersey top nice and easy.

This might be a time to try potty training while you aren't going far Smile, though I can do pull ups one handed.

Leave the washing up to your dh. Its really hard to do more than very easy stuff tbh.

Don't peel potatoes - they mash fine with their skins on. Same with carrots. Get a One Touch tin opener and jar opener (Argos have them) as they will save a lot of swearing.

Let your standards slip, and accept all the help you can muster. AAfter a year of one handedness, I can do most things on my own, but its been a hard learning curve

Both arm pits with one hand is achievable with shower gel or foam and some contortionist like moves with your good hand. They do waterproof cast covers or youcould stick arm with cast out of shower? Pot washing is best left to others but again youcan do it, find teatowel on surface and putting wet pot on it to dry is easier!
Accept any help offered!!
