Even went as far as doing a test and I am not pregnant - would be devastated if I were so that good news.

Thought maybe it was wind but doesn't seem like it - tummy is really soft and saggy too - nothing like it would be if I were pregnant.

Is an alian going to busrt through my tummy soon or is there a simple explanation for it?

I've had this. Not kicking but those little flutterings you feel early on. And I'm definately not pregnant. Wierd isn't it?

needtogetalife · 06/11/2011 13:54

I was going to say wind as that can feel like a baby. Are you sure its not? If you are worried go to your GP.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 06/11/2011 13:55

I've had this too - it's very weird, isn't it? Is it wind, or muscle (or what's left of them in my case!) twitches?

Towndon · 06/11/2011 14:02

I've had it too, don't know what it is though!

breadandhoney · 06/11/2011 14:05

Wind or constipation could be the cause (I've had it too!)

maresedotes · 06/11/2011 14:12

I don't want to scare/upset you but are you sure you're not pregnant? My sister had this, negative tests and finally had a positive one at 5 months. She had told the doctor that it had felt like the baby was kicking but was told no. It was her 5th so she knew what it felt like.

LaPruneDeMaTante · 06/11/2011 14:14

HOly hell, really? What was the explanation for the negative tests?

I get this too, a lot recently. ANd knackered and off my food and feeling sicky.... It's SO unlikely that I'm pregnant that I've just put it out of my mind.

jasminerice · 06/11/2011 14:17

I'm deffo not pregnant. I get these sensations every now and then. I put it down to weird muscle twitching.

maresedotes · 06/11/2011 14:23

I don't know what the explanation was for the negative tests. My nephew is now 25 so I was only 20 when it happened and was a self-centred non-interested in children sort of girl!

Mum1369 · 06/11/2011 14:25

I have had this too - apparently it is a muscle spasm I think. Have you been doing any exercise, or exercising stomach muscles that you don't normally use ??

MadameCastafiore · 06/11/2011 14:46

Ooooohhhh think I am going to blame it on Jillian!

I have a Mirena Coil and no other symptoms - mind you have been eating a lot and have been a bit emotional but think that down to DH annoying me about moving house!

I had this too a few months ago and thought it was really weird. Then felt it again recently but higher up sort of opposite my heart and down a little. Even went to the doc and have to have an ECG [shocked] even though i haven't felt it since and am pretty sure it is nothing to do with my heart as I felt it in my tummy in the summer. Feels like something is tapping wanting to come out!

Avenged · 06/11/2011 20:57

I've had this in the past and it sort of feels like my bowels wriggling. My DH has IBS and has said that it sound like IBS but without the pain and the noisy rumble of the bowels IYSWIM.

missmakesstuff · 06/11/2011 21:03

I had this after the birth of DD, apparently when you have had a child the bowels etc have moved and it's very common to feel food moving around, and it is exactly the same feeling as a baby, flutterings, popping feelings. I freaked for a good few months and did a zillion tests, still get it occasionally now - and now you mention it, not for ages, until I got the Mirena coil - I have had lots of odd feelings with that too.

BurningBridges · 06/11/2011 21:11

I've had a mystery health problem for 4 months that I've been banging on about on various threads, and this is one of my major symptoms - although my "baby" sometimes flutters or pops like in early stages, most the time it kicks and moves around like full term. I have seen other forums and threads etc where women have experienced similar feelings, I have no idea what it is but I do think there is no one definitive cause. To be honest it worries me so much if it was IBS I'd be pleased Confused!
