How can i cope for the next 2 1/2 hours

Earlier on this afternoon, i was tidying the bedroom, bent down to pick something up and passed out, I think it was only for a couple of seconds, dd2 was in her bed curled up watching a dvd and she was fine hadn't even noticed.

I had been having pains in my ears this morning but thought nothing of it until this. I don't know whether I hit my head or not, but have felt v v sick since and keep going dizzy and feeling v hot and clammy, not been able to eat anything, the doctor has been out and says that I have a viral infection and need to rest (great, I have four dozen buns to make for dd's christmas party on weds)

How on earth do I cope with dd1 and dd2 now until 7pm when they go to bed, i feel shocking and my head is banging and all i want to do is lay down.

DH has gone on a lads day out to the races so when he comes home he will be neither use nor ornament,

How old are they ? I spent last Monday afternoon feeling c**p. Sat in armchair and dozed while the kids (7 and 4) watched tv and pottered. Ear problems may well make you feel like that anyway - try warm drinks too. I too was supposed ot bake nad defintiely gave that up as a bad job - Sainsbury's Local mini cupcakes had to suffice.

Phone for a takeaway for the kids to have for tea,dig out some dvds, and lie on the sofa with them beside you while you rest and they eat junk and watch drivel on t.v,it wont kill them for a couple of hours.Oh and i agree with the other poster, tell DH to get his A**E home to help you out.

LIZS they are the same age as your children, they are running round with a balloon at the minute and have had their teas so they are fed and watered

Phone him and get him home. Even if he's useless, it's better than him keeping drinking.

I went to bed at 7pm with the kids, no use asking him to come home as I know what the answer would have been.

Had to get up to get dd1 ready for school whilst he got himself ready (he can't multitast so as soon as he is back, i will have dd2 dressed (no school for her today as its the afternoon childrens christmas party) and a list written and he can go and do some shopping.
