eye drops and thyroid disorders

anyone know why you should consult a doctor before using eye brightening drops (boots own)if you have a thyroid disorder? seems a bit strange..
wasn't going to use them all the time, just when going out to brighten dull, tired eyes

oh i have underactive thyroid and use murine all the time!!

to be honest have used murine since i was 16 when my eyes need pepping up ..so i dont read the box ..oh dear

arghhhhhhhh have got a bottle of vital eyes it says if you are being treated for.high blood presssure.diabeties.depression heart disease.parkinsons disease or thyroid disorders!!obtain medical advice before using...they are just eye drops blimy!

i'm sure it must be okay.... i can't see how it could affect your thyroid personally!!! I wouldn't worry too much - I have to go and collect a new prescription for some thyroxine next week so I will ask at the pharmacy if I remember and see what they say.

I think the drops constrict the blood vessels in the eyes and that takes away the redness I was on heart tablets that made my eyes a bit red once and my consultant recommended eye drops so I think they can't be that dangerous unless you overuse them
