I have thrush constantly if I overload my system with yeast products. Chocolate is a definate no no for me.
I use acidophillus and drink loads of cranberry juice, cut out carbs and yeast based products and it seems to help.

thanks, Frosty.

The GP will check for other things that can cause thrush - the most obvious of these is diabetes! So definately worth getting checked.

The other thing you can do, to prevent/avoid thrush, is to avoid wearing tight and hot clothes. Make sure the relevant area of your body gets a reasonable amount of air. Cotton pants only, avoid tights, and ideally no pants at all at nighttime. Yeast is anaerobic, I think.

Hmmm, it's maybe worth going in case they can spot anything else wrong (e.g. diabetes etc). I'd say a nurse could check for thrush, can you get a nurse's appointment before Thursday?

Thrush is really irritating and annoying, but you can have a mild case. The normal symptoms are horrible hot itching, and a white smelly discharge.

I think it is linked to hormones/cycles, anyway.

Does it always go away on its own? If so, I woudn't be too worried.

I'd be inclined to have a doctor look at it, next time it comes, just to check. If you know when it will come, you could book an appointment in advance maybe?

Yeah, I'd be nervous about using any sort of drug so regularly. Topical cream is better than a systemic pill, but still ...
