What do you mean by leave the appointment?
Are you going to go on Fri then?

pookey · 10/12/2005 14:23

Oh yes I am going to go on fri, going to put a big sign up so I cant forget again! Thinking about it now I think you are right that it cant matter too much - the first couple of times I tried to book the previous appointment receptionist said the diary wasn't up todate so I couldnt book and then when it was uptodate they didn't have one until a month and 4 days after the last injections.

I had the same thing at my doctors too. I was told by the nurse who did the injection that it didnt matter if the next jab wasnt done 'on the specific date' as long as it was within a few weeks of the last one.
Good luck for the jab - they arent the best thing!
Not looking forward to ds next one, he has an MMR in the new year.

mumfor1sttime · 10/12/2005 14:28

Sorry I meant to say 'within a few weeks of original appt'

pookey · 10/12/2005 22:36

oh goodluck with the mmr injection, thats the controversial one isn't it. I will have to start reading up on that.

No that should be fine - I missed one set of the DTP jabs for some reason, and was told that as long as it wasn't more than six 6 weeks after the previous one that should be OK.

mumfor1sttime · 11/12/2005 16:02

Pookey, I know what you mean when you say controversial. Think I will go ahead with it, need to do a bit of reading about it too!

dulwichmummy · 11/12/2005 21:02

Mine were anything from 5 to 7 weeks apart. The HV said that the important thing was to get them done and cmplete the course - so long as they weren't closer than 4 weeks, she said it was fine.
