Cleaning Hearing Aids

Mine are getting a bit clogged up in the bit of the tube that is attached to the ear mould, as well as in the little openings of the mould itself. I clean as best I can but surely there is some sort of kit or something that I can use to do a proper job.

I've googled and found a couple of very different kits available, but was thinking that there MUST be a recommended one. So what do you all use please?

they are nhs ones and didn't come with anything.......

The tubing should be changed every 6 months.

should it??? oh, i didn't know that!! Right, I shall get onto them then....

Take the tube bits off and just soak them in hot soapy water. That's what dh does and they come up a treat.

Sorry, ignore me I didn't read properly. You said it's the bits attached to the mold. Hmm not sure, I'd ask at the hospital/drs

They don't work as well if the tubing gets too hard but won't work at all once they're blocked with wax!

We use This at school for the kids ear moulds- dissolves the wax a treat.
