Isn't that cradle cap? Do you mean in an adult?

LIZS · 04/12/2005 15:57

My mum has been using Royal Jelly for psoriasis on her scalp, and it's been very effective. Not as good as steroids, but much less harmful too.

She pierces a capsule of RJ and rubs the contents vigorously into the inflamed area. It doesn't show in her hair - which is quite short there - but seems to stop the flakes coming off. After a few days she combs her hair with a nitcomb to remove the flakes and the skin underneath is pink and non-flakey. She puts the RJ on every day, whether there are flakes or not. She says that it is very soothing and the patches itch much less.

HTH.

I meant the RJ doesn't show in her hair - obviously the flakes of skin do if untreated. The RJ is greasy waxy stuff.

That sounds interesting, thank you.

I use the Rausch Willow Bark shampoo on the kids hair. dd had terrible cradle cap until recently (she's 4) and it has really cleared it well. Not sure where you can buy it in UK though.
