I've tried and am continuing to try: espresso coffee, avocados, kiwi fruit, bran flakes, orange juice. It's still not resolving (at least not properly IYSWIM Blush again!!) Any other foods etc I could try before I have to resort to Senokot? Would rather resolve it naturally if poss!!

Daily walk worked for me combined with drinking plenty of water, using oatbran sprinkled over cereals and a pear a day,
Good luck!

Thanks for hint re wheat - would that include bread even if it's granary bread? Have just nipped to sainsburys and done an illicit (I hope) constipation shop - apple jiuce, apricots, cauliflower and grapes!! Think the assistant was looking at me knowingly...

magnesium citrate, start at 1 a day. Somehow it makes everything move.

I suffer each month around my period. My diet doesn't change a huge amount around this time (ok, maybe a touch more chocolate Grin) so I don't think it's diet causing the problem iyswim.

It's only a couple of days in my case, but can be in agony with trapped wind as well so anything that would sort it out quickly would be great.

I seem to be immune to a lot of the things suggested here, always been able to eat any quantity of fruit with no effects, I tried prune juice once and started off drinking a small glass but nothing, worked my way up to half a pint and still nothing apart from lots of gas (and drinking it is vile)

I agree karstan, think hormones play a big role.

Hope your shopping has brought you success OP.

Its not just the basic ingredients you want your dishes to contain meat and veg thats been cooked a long time on low temp. This was they have broken down and easier for your bowel to digest. Looks of casseroles, pies, mince etc cooked for 2hrs plus. I dont have a problem now since eating this type of diet. Watch your carbs too, too much bread, biscuits, cakes can block you up.

Try Ducloease which makes the stool soft and taken overnight works a treat for the morning. I would avoid those strong treatments.

Beer.

And the airconditioning in TKMaxx. Every time. Blush
