Is she in cloth (for some reason I have it in my head that she is)?

Chamomile and honey soaked wipes are great (just bounty kitchen roll to soak is good). Also, it cost a little bit, but I invested in just 4 silk liners from the nappy lady - I found that soaking those in the chamomile and honey, and putting them in the nappy damp did sooo much good - the dampness seemed to soothe it. DD was terrible - if I didn't get to a poo in time (normally if she pooed during the night and I didn't know), then she didn't just get rash, she blistered and had all weepy bits - I had about a 10 min interval to change a poo before she started to react. The chamomile and honey liners worked best - I never needed more than the 4 that I had before it was healed.

When she was in disposables, we found the chamomile wipes, plus drapolene worked best.

misdee, boil up some pearl barley & give her the cooled liquid. It will help neutralise her system. When children are teething their system becomes more acidic & therfore the wee & poo can realy sting & burn. The barley water will help. If you haven't got pearl barley then give her the juice for steamed veg, this will have the same effect.

cornflour works wonders on nappy rash, it really does - just pat it onto the sore bits before bed and I swear that the rash has cleared by morning. have to say that I'm not sure if you can use it when it is really bad...... but when its' not so bad its fantastic stuff - and much better than all the chemicals!
