How successful did you find this for the prevention of recurring thrush?

Any other suggestions for prevention welcome.

Thanks

bumping for you, as I'm always wanting try different things - almost monthly thrush for longer than I can remember - grrr!

I had a quick look at the ingredients and as it contains zinc it should make a difference. Or try a zinc supplement plus B vits, it's zinc that helps to improve immunity against fungal infections.

Great thanks for the bump.

I found it on Amazon 12.97 for 60 tablets. You take it 3 times a day for a couple of weeks then lower your intake down to 1-2 a day going forward.

I'm going to give it a go as I always get a bout of thrush the week before my period. :(

Have you tried grapefruit seed extract (GSE)? I take 3 tabs a day and it seems to be working, AF due ant day and no thrush for the 3rd month. I also take a zinc supplement.

Thanks will keep that in mind. Just ordered the candida defence, so will give that a go. It puzzles me why my G.P has never mentioned any of these things to me. I have suffered like this for years. The only times I haven't had problems was when I was pregnant or had my coil.

I'll try these ideas too - I'm trying acidopholous (spelling?) at the moment, after something I read somewhere, but not noticed a big improvement tbh.
Thanks. It really does my head in.
GPs have never been able to suggest anything other than more canesten. We did try pre-emptively taking a canesten or fluxi-whatever it is for six months just before thrush usually strikes (to really rid your body of the imbalance) , which was fine, but after the six months it just came back as before.

Apparently your body can become immune if you take difluxucan too regularly. I can't take it as am allergic, big blood blisters appear on my hands and feet, just to add insult to injury! My G.P originally suggested I alternate between pessaries and difluxucan , may be that would help you noarguments.

Am hoping this will work as thrush is just a bloody nightmare :(
