Greece in August = v v hot !!!! - keep bay in shade at all times - make sure he has plenty of drinks - keep clothing loose ( buy larger size coton shirts etc) always have a hat on - buy high protection sun cream might also be an idea to get mosquito net for cot at night?

Can't think of anything else at the moment but think as long as your sensible you;ll have a lovely time.

Get him an Aussie-style sunsuit. He can also have regular wide-spectrum sunscreen. Please don't rely on p20 bollocks.

Avoid Sun totally in under 6 months.

Over 6 months you are talking about Sun block of SPF 50. For Greece keep him covered as much as possible in light but thick clothing (too thin and sun will penetrate) and put SPF 50 on any exposed skin while keeping him in the shade as much as possible.

Go into your local pharmacy and talk it over with a pharmacist if you are unsure. Sun tan lotions from last year should be binned if opened as the chemicals will have degraded and not offer the protection claimed. Also check expiry dates on any unopened bottles.

There are some brilliant UV sun suits and hats that you can get and Sunsense sun cream which are made in Australia are brilliant and recommended by dermatologists factor 50. But make sure that he drinks loads of fluids and kept in the shade. Have a look at www.pureandgentle.com great website

I find the nivea kids waterproof factor 50 to be the most effective and the longest lasting. For top ups I use the nivea invisible spray, as it actually does spray evenly rather than in dollops. Is easier than catching them to re-apply the thick stuff. Sun suits are also a must!
