Hiya, im pretty anxious at the moment and its seeping in to everything so i am probebly over reacting but here we go.

You know the lumps just behind the bottom of your ears by your neck? on my neck on the right hand side near where the muscle of my throat dips in to the soft bit of my neck i have found two small soft lumps. they feel like th ones behind my ears (as mentioned above). One the other side of my neck in a similar place i found another one.

I am very stressed, exhausted and almost at breaking point and I have head that lymph nodes become raised or lumpy at times of great stress.

Do you think these are what this could be?

Thanks

Do you mean sort of just above your collar bone? There are lymph nodes all over the place - here's a diagram and they often "puff up" while you're fighting infections, so it's very likely that they're just working away at fighting off a bug while you're feeling stressed and tired.

If it would reassure you, I'm sure the GP would be happy to check them out just to stop you worrying about them, but I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

Mine on my left hand side, and behind both ears, are constantly raised - no reason for it, they just seem to be very prominent there!

If you have just gotten over an illness, they can take a while to go back down. Don't keep prodding them, otherwise they'll become tender and it isn't a nice feeling!

That'll be it then - they're part of your body's immune response when you get a bug, and they can take a while to settle back down again.
