dermatitis on my bottom - ouch! sanitary towel help!

I went to the gp this morning and have been told I have what appears to be dermatitis on my bottom, which is making my bum hole swollen and painful and itchy beyond belief and has spread around the whole area. She has given me prescription cream and told me to wash with aqueous cream.
I noticed when i had my period last week that it got much much worse and i think the sanitary pads irritated it. Can anyone recommend an unbleached/ non chemical one? I'm not ready to go for a mooncup after looking at them in boots today but they didn't have anything other than usual sanitary towels. I could also do with a good washing powder being recommended. i currently use a non bio washing liquid but think i'll go for a sensitive skin one, are there any particular ones to go for?
Hoping this goes away soon, its driving me up the wall!

Oo Ouch, poor you!..
I cannot use any Sanitary towels other then the non bleached ones, normal ones really badly irritate my skin. You won't find the non bleached in High Street Chemists, i get mine from our local Healthfood shop.

I also use Ecover Delicate Non Bio liquid for clothes,it's the purple topped one, again it's the only one that doesn't make me itch. Even Tescos stock this.

Best of luck, i hope it all sorts out soon.

thanks, I hadn't thought about looking in the healthfood shop for them! I've noticed in the two day since I stopped wearing them it has calmed down a lot (plus I got the cream this morning so that has hopefully helped too). Still itchy though. Must.......not..........scratch.........
Will check out the ecover stuff as well, I so so hope it goes away soon.

Boots used to do Organic non-bleached ones IIRC. They are usually hidden on the bottom shelves.

Use cloth pads. They are much better than you might think: lovely and soft. You can find them online.
