strange period pains

af just arrived today got my usual pains this eve, which are quite bad but usually are, took painkilllers and went to bed at 10pm with hotwater. The painkillers had kicked in by then and went straight to sleep. I just woke up half an hour ago with very bad but different pains. The pain is in just one point very lowdown and just to one side. I feel the need to push it in with my fingers but that not particulry helping. My usual period pains are all over tummy and back but this is in one specific point which is strange and never had before. Taken more painkillers and waiting for them to kick in. Any ideas

Could you be pregnant?? If so need to think about an ectopic
Or constipated?

I am ttc, took test yesterday and negative then a came on today. I was wondering that but didnt know if being silly. Also thoughtit a bit early to be getting symptoms for that. Painkillers seem to be really helping at mo, so might go and see if I can get some more sleep and see how it goes

i think as you're ttc and the pain is unusual, esp one sided if it doesn't resolve soon you should really get it checked out. it's unlikely to be an EP with a negative test but not impossible.

Endometriosis can cause severe period pains to arise, I note that you say your period pains are usually quite bad so this in itself requires further investigation.

Any symptoms that are cyclical in nature and get worse up to and during menses should be checked out further by a gynaecologist to see if endo is the cause. Such problems are outside a GPs remit so GP should refer you on.

Thanks for advice, pain has gone now just normal peroid pains. It was very strange last night, but at least it one Grin.
Attila tbh think I do have endometriosis as have most symptoms. I have had laproscopy which didnt show it up but have heard it can be missed depending on when they do it in the cycle. It did show up alot of adhesions and internal scar tissue from my section and also lots of varicose veins in my pelvic area [apparently from pushing in labour for too long] consulant said both these things will be contributing to the pain, however always had bad pain before dc. He prescribed two differnt tablets something acids which do help with the pain and flooding and did help last night. Just never had it in a specific spot before it was making me make noises like I was in labour Blush. Dh stll slept through though Envy
