No pelvic floor muscles

2 DD's in 20 months has shattered any pelvic floor muscles I might have once had!

DD2 is 5 weeks now and I still don't seem to be able to tense them much. I am not leaking wee though, so something must be there!

Shall I just carry on with exercises, or do those electric machine things work?

have lots of sex, very good for the muscles

ha ha ha ha ha - joking obviously, with two under two you won't be having any of that for a few years.

It was the sex last night that made me realise how bad it was!

Look up Pilates exercises - especially ones that target your core muscles - for lots of the exercises you have to "engage your pelvic floor" so they help strengthen it (pilates mat classes have really helped me). You can also buy plastic things to insert in you that you hold in place using the PFM's to strengthen them.

I have been looking into this for a couple of weeks. Quite a few people on here recommend Aquaflex, which you can get in Boots for about £25. It's pelvic floor exercising thing with cones which you put varying weights in.

however I am finding it pretty tricky to find 20 mins a day in which to do nothing but stand still trying to hold the thing in...I also realise I have less ahem grip than I realised...

So I have just sent off for a Kegel 8 machine which I hope will do the job more effectively and correctly while I lie on the sofa watching TV...

I am familiar with this delightful subject as had a few probs following DD2 via forceps delivery/episiotomy etc. I was referred to a specialist physio - maybe you could ask your GP to refer you. She gave me specific pelvic floor exercises and since then it seems better - certainly I haven't pissed myself laughing for a couple of months now so there must be some improvement?! Good luck.

Has anyone actually used the Kegel 8 machine? Is it as good as its publicity would suggest?

would this work for a slight problem?

i can run. (i go running)
i can jump (if i have to)

but i cant sneeze unless bent over slightly! and had my last DC 13 years ago! can a 13 year old problem be worked upon?
