Or does it vary from area to area?

Hello. I am in West Sussex and I saw the GP begnning Jan and saw consultant 3 Feb. This was really quick for a non urgent matter I thought.

That sounds good MegGriffin. I'm glad you've been seen so quickly Smile

Have you been waiting long?

ilovemyhens · 06/03/2011 19:55

No, I haven't seen my gp about the problem yet, I was just wondering on average how long it would take if I did need to see one. I think I have a prolapse Confused

That s what I have. I am now on the waitng list for an anterior repair which will probably be in May.
If you go to the GP at least you can get the ball rolling.

I'll go this week after I've made sure the antibiotics are working for the uti.

Do you get any urinary symptoms? I think my uterus is squashing my bladder. It feels kind of odd inside.

I feel constant pressure in my bladder and frequently go to the toilet. This has become worse as the prolapse has increased. I now need to go every couple of hours, including in the night. I do not have any incontinence isues though and can run and jump etc and do not leak (not that I do much running and jumping!)

If you can afford to pay for a provate appt then you wold normally be seen withint a week or two.
Appts cost around £150 and you get 30 mins or more. well worth going for if you are worried and can then go onto NHS list for surgery etc.

sorry- awful typing- but you get the gist.

Hi I have recently had to see a gyno consultant due to a large ovarian cyst.

It took around 4 weeks to get my appointment so not too bad. And I have an operation booked to have the cyst removed 3 weeks tomorrow- so only took 5 weeks from gyno appointment to when I have my operation. Pretty good I thought
