Post Caesarean belly

Just wondered if anbody has any advice on this, or has had any success themselves.

Had DD 1 year ago via emergency C-section.

My belly is now in a real state.

Due to her size and position, they had to make an extra wide incision; not helped that I'm only 5' so not a lot of room.
They stitched a stretch mark into the c-section scar, so I'm now left with a scar right accross my tummy, a lumpy wonky scar with stretch marks and an overhang. Not very sexy!!!

I realise I can't do much about the first 2, but any ideas on helping reduce the overhang? I am very slighlty overweight for my height (but only a size 12, so not huge). I walk everywhere, go kickboxing and swim when I can.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Thanks. x

I had An EmCS with DD1 and started fit yoga when she was 2.5 yo and continued with yoga pilates, it got rid of the overhang.
I walked everywhere to but it is not enough Sad.

I have to get rid of my 2nd overhang now after DD2 Wink keep delaying the yoga as I can't motivate myself to do it alone and look after a 1 yo.

I had my 2 (huge) DSs by CS and had to have a tummy tuck as my stomach was in such a state...think swinging, hanging dough.

It was terrible and I tried everything before going down this route; pilates, yoga, oils and lost all my baby weight.

It hurt like hell (way more painful than both CS put together!) but results were amazing- I have a stomach an 18 year old would be proud of now Smile

I am only 31 and couldnt face a lifetime of what remained of my stomach!!!

Thanks ladies, appreciate your honesty. My husband said i should be proud of it, as without it we wouldn't have DD, but I'm like jinxediam, am only 32, and can't think about having this forever.
I'll try pilates, as have done before, if not may consider the surgical route (although the pain sounds awful)

Mine is bad. I had some swelling and water retention just above my scar when I had DS, and so the skin stretched more and strangely rather than starting to shrink back.
I'm due with DC2 in a couple of weeks, and god knows what it will be like after that, whether I end up with a VBAC or an ELCS!

I'm planning to have a tummy tuck in a couple of years once I've lost the baby weight. I want to be able to wear flat front trousers without needing Spanx underneath!

I had EMCS with DS1 11 years ago..... My scar is well above the pubic line and a bit wonky. It was numb for years and I had acupuncture (for something else) and mentioned it was numb, he inserted some needles actually into the scar. It was a very odd sensation but did help with the feeling coming back Smile
The lower abdo muscle are really hard to train but IMO pilates does work if you stick at it...
