Baby vomiting blood. Dry cleaning chemicals?

I'm just back from A&E now. This is what's been happening...

Fri 5pm: baby chewing on the sleeve of my freshly dry-cleaned coat for ages.
Fri 9.30pm: baby screams out in pain, is hard to comfort, is given 2.5ml baby paracetomol by 10pm.
Sat 00.30am: Baby a bit cold and clammy and not seeming happy- bed time.
Sat 5am: overnight feed, vomiting onto cerise babygrow, lights on low.
Sat 11am: baby's first feed of day, vomitting far more than usual, vomit blood stained.

Called NHS Direct for advice, sent to A&E.

At A&E baby perks up, seems well. All observations (blood pressure, heart rate, breathing, oxygen saturation, physical exam, eyes and ears) are normal.

Sat 2pm: At A&E baby has another feed, vomit white and of normal quantity.
Sat 6.30pm: Baby fed again, again normal.

Discharged from A&E and told to come straight back if she takes a turn for the worse, they have put her name on some list or something so that paediatrics will see her straight away. Also told to get urine sample and take to GP on Monday.

Sat 9.45pm: I'm writing this. She seems unhappy, a little bit pale (comparable to a cold) and otherwise perfectly normal. Perhaps a bit sleepier than usual.

What I want to know, if anyone can tell me, is could this all be because she was chewing my coat? I am wondering if the reason she had one bloody feed and then was fine is that she hasn't developed a serious illness as such, she had a short-term poisoning and it cleared itself out at the 11am feed (and maybe the 5am feed too, in low light in the middle of the night onto cerise clothing I may no have realised). Can anyone tell me if that sounds possible or if it's a ludicous idea?

Shock I would hope all chemicals would be well rinsed - did you mention this or have you only just thought of it? Hpoe she carries on improving and is back to normal in the morning

I have just thought of it.

Thank you for your well wishing. She's laughing at Daddy being silly in the background now, so I am cautiously optimistic.

:) bumping for you but tbh if you are at all worried I would call someone for advice...NHS Direct maybe?

With regard to her healthcare we're not worried, we'd have no hesitation going straight back to A&E if we were and she's improving. I mainly posted because I am wondering if I am entirely up the wrong tree here or if I might have solved the mystery? Perhaps I ought to phone and tell A&E suspicion this come to think of it... doing it now.
