I noticed a few weeks ago a raised, um, thing on my arm. It's about the size of a 5p. It started off looking like a group of hard blisters and was the same colour of my skin, now it has turned red. It's not sore and it's not itchy.

Anyone?

Don't now how. It's like 3 small blisters, nearly in a circle.

Well it probably isn't ringworm then if it doesn't hurt/itch. Have you ever had any skin thingys removed before?

cocolepew · 15/02/2011 20:00

Nope not ringworm. Only went red today. No skin thingys before.

Hmm, this is difficult without a picture. Even with a picture it would be tricky.

I think I would wait and see tbh. If it doesn't go away, or gets worse, then take it to the GP (give it about a week I think).

I'm a medical mystery. Might ask nurse in work tomorow. If it's catching I'll be sent home [Grin

It doesn't sound contagious. Only thing I'd be concerned about is some kind of carcinoma etc. as they can present like this.

But then it would stay put and not go away by itself and you'd know to sort it.

Hope nurse has some idea! And I hope it's nothing x

Thanks Smile, I am keeping an eye on it, just in case.

It could be a wart. I had one on my arm like this - never had a wart before so didn't know what to look for, it didn't look like a wart just a raised skin colour blister that went red eventually.

One of the GPs at our surgery specialises in dermatology and removed it in a couple of seconds with a scalpel and a bit of local anaesthetic. She did sent it off to be examined but she was sure it was a wart, and it was.
