Can I floss ds's teeth?

He's 3... I was thinking those ones on the plastic frame with the floss fastened on.

I brush his teeth twice a day when at nursery and after every meal when he is at home. To my horror, I have noticed yellow placque (sp?) building up between his bottom teeth. I don't really know what to do about it.

Any suggetions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, definitely. My dds' dentist (paediatric dentist) insists that we floss the girls as their teeth are close fitting - dd1 ended up with awful cavities on the surfaces between molars, that no one could see from the outside (and good hygiene, food habits, etc).

We use special childrens' ones, animal frames with floss on, you can get from Boots, some Tescos, and some dentists. Or kids' floss from dentist - but not adult floss, its too thick and would hurt.

Thank you - I'll look out for some. Don't know why it's not mentioned more.Smile
