big pat

i had to go and see my GP about my boob a year or so ago, they referred me straight to the breast clinic and i was seen within a couple of days, that obvfioulsy freaked me right out and i thought it was a really bad sign and that i definitely had something awful amiss. but it all turned out fine, it was just a cyst. they were all so lovely and kind, they know how scared we are.

good luck

Lumps, pains, weird looking nipples: been checked every time and so far no problems.

Other than feeling sick with fear each time, of course - tis par for the course. Big (manly, if you prefer it) hugs. Good for you for going so fast, and don't panic if GP sends you to clinic for extra check - very normal.

I had a lump in my tummy and that was it, I was convinced I was dying. Had a scan, it was just a benign lump of nothingness.

I'm hugging your arse off!

Let us know what GO, I mean GP, said Smile

There's no way around the wibbles, but I promise you are not wibbling alone. Not long now.

KurriKurri · 04/01/2011 17:47

sending good vibes and hand holding your way LogLady Smile

Elibean · 04/01/2011 20:27

How'd it go, LogLady?

TheLogLadyMBE · 04/01/2011 20:35

Cheers you lot.

It was OK. GP thinks 'normal breeast tissue' despite not being a lumpy sort usually.

she thinks to wait a few weeks, go back if it changes or i'm still worried and she'll refer me.

So phew in many ways but I'd quite like it to just go away now please.

Thanks for hand holding.

Hurrah! Totally understand about the wishing it would just go away, but this is the best possible outcome really. She sounds very unworried about it.

FWIW, I have lumpy bits in both breasts that I spent ages wishing would just go away, then I got used to them. If they changed, I would know (hopefully) but as it is, they are my new normal iyswim.

I know its hard, but try and keep an occasional eye on it without worrying!

KurriKurri · 04/01/2011 21:54

That sounds good LogLady, they refer pretty sharpish if they are worried - try to put it out of your mind - don't keep poking it (you'll make it sore and it will start to feel swollen), just have a look every so often Smile

MaryAnnSingleton · 04/01/2011 22:13

yes, does sound good and as KK says, try not to poke !
