My DD will be 5 in December and I have just discovered she has a very wobbly bottom front tooth!! I thought they were 6 before they started losing their baby teeth so am a worried it might be some other cause!!!!!

sounds about right ~ most of the girls in my dd's class(year 1) had lost at least one or two during their reception year and my dd was so excited last week when she found her first two wobblies(but she was only 5 at the end of august)and checks every morning to see if they are still there.....

Ds is 7.5 and has just had to have his first two bottom ones removed by the dentist this morning as the permenant teeth were already growing through in the wrong direction! He's the last in his class though - everyone else has been losing theirs over the last two years!

DS2 is nearly 7 and still hasn't lost any - he is desperate to have a 'wobbly tooth' His friend lost his first tooth at 3 - no knock or anything it just fell out.

Fio2 · 30/09/2005 14:29

my daughter lost one at four and three at five

LIZS · 30/09/2005 14:33

ds lost his 1st bottom one at 6 1/2 and the next 2 months later. Still waiting for the top ones which dentist has said are pretty solid and he is now 7 1/2.

My dd is 10, has finished puberty i.e. menstruates etc. and still has 2 back baby teeth left.

Cristina7 · 30/09/2005 14:45

DS is nearly 6 and hasn't lost any yet. He's fascinated and a bit envious of his mates who've already started loosing theirs. He keeps telling us his teeth are wobbly but it's not happening yet.

ds2 12 1/2 has still got 10, dd1 11 still got 7,they both need othodontic work and have to wait till they have lost some more

kid · 30/09/2005 22:20

DD is 6.8 and has her first wobbly tooth. It doesn't look ready to come out yet, I think it is going to get alot more wobbly before we get a visit from the tooth fairy. DD can't wait!

myturn · 30/09/2005 22:23

dd3 is 5 and has been losing hers regularly for a while now. My sis, who is a dental nurse, says not to worry - it just means their 'adult' teeth are ready to appear earlier than some other children.

floody · 30/09/2005 22:33

wouldnt worry about it, the longer they have there baby teeth the better i think.

kid · 30/09/2005 22:39

I want DD to loose her 2 front teeth. She fell over when she was 3 and they twisted and went grey. She might have bright white teeth just waiting to come through!

My dd is 9.5 and has only lost about 5 of her baby teeth. They are all ok though so I'm not worried.

trinityrocks · 01/10/2005 15:51

I was wondering this same thing aswell, My dd2 is 5 and 1/2 and hasn't got a single wobbly tooth. Hearing all these different stories has mande me feel better Thanks

Pinotmum · 01/10/2005 15:54

My dd is not quite 5 yo and has lost her 2 bottom front teeth and the new ones are almost fully up now.
