Travel Sickness (in adults)

I get travel sick, badly. I always have, and long journeys are a pain - I can't read, look at a map, play with phone - I'll get a weird zoned out feeling and will feel sick. I've got used to it and manage it so well (look straght ahead) I rarely am sick nowadays - but its been known. The kids have it too - not sure if they are as bad as me.

I've never mentioned it to the GP, I have tried Joy Rides, which made me feel as if I was off my face and not in a good way. Is there any decent treatment nowadays.

Ahhh you poor thing, I suffer from the exact same thing. Have you tried the wristbands that stop morning sickness in pregnancy? It stopped me being sick, but didn't stop me feeling rough.

The only thing I could say is to identify your main triggers - for example, motorways when they are clear are usually ok for me, but its lots of stop/start/jerky movements when stuck in traffic that cause it for me, so wherever possible when planning a journey, I will avoid the traffic routes, even if it means taking the long way around.
