I am nearly 14 weeks pregnant. Over the last week, I keep getting times when my bladder feels really full, when I go to the loo only a trickle comes out. If I stand up to leave the bathroom, I need to sit back on the loo as I feel like I need to go.
I went to the doctors on the fri, they did a test of my urine and said it didn't show an infection, but they were going to send it to the hospital for examination.
I'm now going through the same thing, and its pretty painful :(
two weeks ago I had a threatened miscarriage and I'm still bleeding from that, so I'm feeling pretty down about everything.
Any advice? I'm drinking lots of water and cranberry / barley juice.
TIA

It could be that you do have a urinary infection that the hospital tests will bring up.
However, could it be that the baby is very low and is putting weight on your bladder?
I remember when pregnant with my DD that I sometimes found that she put uncomfortable weight on my lower pelvis. That was at about your stage now.
Then, as she grew, she came up out of the bottom of my pelvis and the pressure was released even though she was gaining size and weight.
You might find that the problem is solved naturally in the next couple of weeks or so.

Phew, good to hear, its painful. When I try to wee and nothing comes out, it sends shocks of pain up my body.

Hi Elf, Maybe stop the cranberry and just stick to water if you can. Sometimes IME cranberry can make it worse. Also, if you are very tense and have to strain to pee it can be very very painful. whilst I was pregnant I had something similar to what you describe but I realised that my pelvic floor was 'fluttering'. OK, I know how weird this sounds, but I tested negative for infection too. Maybe I also had what RuthChan was describing? Hope you feel better x

Oh, I feel slightly vindicated now. Had a phone call from the surgery, they have done a prescription for me, and its "important" I pick it up today. So important in fact that they have taken it to my local chemist so its all ready for me to pick up on my way home!
So - I dont know WHAT is wrong with me, but I know its something and not just me being a weakling!!
Am still drinking lots of water and juice etc, as I feel worse if I dont drink.

I'm sorry to hear that you are not actually well, but I'm glad the doctor has taken it seriously and that you're getting the drugs you need.
I hope it clears up soon.
